My Journey: From Language Classrooms to Executive Boardrooms

My journey to understanding the depth of transformation began in a language school, not a corporate office. As Director of Studies at a globally known institution, I was fascinated by a recurring question:

Why did some people flourish when learning a new language while others, equally intelligent, became paralysed?

This curiosity led me to explore the inner language of confidence and mindset—insights that now underpin my approach to leadership development.

Living the Process of Change

True leadership transformation mirrors mastering a new language. It’s not about ticking boxes; it’s about harnessing the deeper patterns of how humans think, communicate, and evolve.

I immersed myself in Shiatsu, Chi Kung, auricular acupuncture, hypnotherapy, NLP, EFT, and mindfulness. Working as a recovery expert for addictions solidified the most critical insight:

 Transformation is a commitment to the process of change, not just the desire for it.

Energy is Everything

From IT recruitment to addiction recovery, my core discovery remains:

  • When we transform at our core, everything around us transforms too.

  • People flourish in supportive environments that unlock their natural potential.

From Holistic Change to Leadership Mastery

This fusion of disciplines naturally led me into corporate facilitation, leadership development, and executive coaching. Collaborations with the British government and private organisations helped reshape leadership cultures and develop strategic visionaries who confidently navigate complexity.

The Enneagram Revelation

Discovering the Enneagram radically transformed my approach. It’s the most powerful tool I’ve found for:

  • Uncovering blind spots in leadership.

  • Providing actionable insights on how leaders get stuck.

  • Guiding leaders on the growth path.

Leading Through Crisis

When the pandemic threatened to derail a major 2020 conference with hundreds of attendees, we didn’t just adapt—we thrived. Transforming the event into a virtual success in just six weeks proved that authentic leadership is about adaptability, courage, and sustaining momentum.

That same year, I launched Rebcat Creations, an audio production company for modern storytelling, and expanded Candid Conversations, a platform on leadership, communication, and navigating change with authenticity.
